It is important to KNOW YOURSELF. How God created you is a direct link to how you should communicate and receive your blessings. God created and made you spirit, soul, and body. But, your spirit is the true part of you that God made to live, rule and have dominion.

 

Humans put major emphasis on outward appearances. We choose people and things based on looks.     1 Samuel 16:7 God said, for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. The heart is referenced as the spirit. You must KNOW YOURSELF because the heart is your spirit man that God communicates with. When you KNOW YOURSELF, you will open the doors for victory. To have victory in your life you must know your thought process for making decisions. Knowledge of yourself helps you to know the difference between decisions made by your body, soul, or spirit.

 

Your spirit is the inner part of you that is called your conscious or heart. This is the intellectual, authoritative part of you. Your soul is the emotional part of you that reveals your feelings such as love, joy, pain, hurt, and anger. Your body is the covering that houses your spirit and soul. Your body is merely fleshly clothes. Your body feels the emotions from your soul, thus it desires what feels good. It will dismiss anything that is not pleasing.

 

Your spirit and soul is eternal; they cannot die. This is the part of you that will stand at the judgment seat of Christ. It is imperative to know whatever life decisions you make, they will determine your eternal destiny.   Your body is temporary. This is the only part of you that will die an earthly death. The body does not have eternal life. Therefore, your flesh has nothing to lose. It wants what it wants. If your body suffers, remember it is only temporary.

 

KNOW YOURSELF... Your body will lie to get what it wants. Your soul is indecisive. It changes based on feelings and what is happening. Your spirit is your truth. It cannot lie. Your spirit is the only part of you that communicates with God. St. John 4:24 says, God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. Psalms 37:23 says the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. God speaks in a still small voice – 1 Kings 19:12, but you must know his voice in order to follow the path He is ordering you to take.

 

KNOW YOURSELF... Make the necessary changes in your life to obtain growth and prosperity. Stop letting your body rule your life. When you do this, you become sorrowful when things don’t work out. Stop reacting to your feelings…making life decisions based on emotions. This is never a good sign when you are led by your soul. Learn to listen to your spirit man. Romans 8:14 says… For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. As a believer in Yeshua as your Lord and Savior, you are a son of God. As a son, He wants you to have all that was created for you.

 

If you want to KNOW YOURSELF, God will reveal to you your true creative self. To KNOW YOURSELF will enable you to understand your life pattern. Once you know your pattern, you can make choices for success. This knowledge will lead you to fulfill your purpose and have good success.
