Our skin has the thankless job of protecting us through everything on a day- to-day basis. We take for granted how blessed we are to have our skin, yet we do so little research in understanding our skin. It's important to keep our skin clean and protected. Below are some essential herbs that have healing properties. Also you'll find a simple skin care regimen that you can do daily that doesn't cost a lot of money. As always, do your research before applying anything to your body.
Healing Herbs
Aloe vera is great for healing wounds, soothing rough skin, promotes hydration, lubricates, and relieves sunburn.

Calendula is a wonder herb as it treats toothaches, fevers, digestive ailments, acne, minor burns, dry skin, minor insect bites, and athletes foot.

Horse chestnut is great for reducing swelling, relieve injuries like sprains and bruises, contains aescin to protect collagen.

Plantain weed is great for cleaning and healing wounds as it draws out venom from insect bites and stings. Has anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties.

St. John's Wart & Yarrow oil helps heal wounds faster and prevents infection.

Witch hazel helps prevent blemishes, shrinks pores, removes excess oils, and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Daily skin care routine
Step one: Wash with a gentle cleanser
Step two (optional) : steam face - you can invest in a facial steamer, or boil water, bour into a bowl& place your face over it for about 5 minutes.
Step three: Exfoliate: Use a gentle exfoliant product of our choice and pat your face dry
Step four: apply mask
Step five: tone & moisturize
DIY Mask
Recommended use: 2 - 3 times weekly. Over masking can cause skin irritations. Mask should be applied after skin has been thoroughly cleansed.
